NOTE: You may want to look up and write down your broadband provider’s contact numbers before
starting the install.
1. Before you begin, make sure that all of your hardware is powered off, including the router, PCs, switches, and cable or DSL modem.
2. Connect one end of an ethernet network cable to the LAN port on the back of the router. Connect the other end to an ethernet port on your computer.
3. If necessary, disconnect the RJ-11 telephone cable of your telephone from the telephone wall jack. Then connect that end to the router’s PHONE 1 port.
4. Connect your cable or DSL modem’s ethernet cable to the router’s WAN port.
5. Power on the cable or DSL modem.
6. Connect the included power adapter to the Router’s power port, and then plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet. The Power LED on the front panel will light up when the adapter is connected properly.
7. Power on your PC.
After the physical setup is complete, contact your Broadband provider to get your router working. You can get into the router’s setup interface by setting your computer to obtain an IP automatically and then open your web browser and in the address bar type http://192.168.2.1. The login page will appear, enter “123” as the password.
Our units come with DHCP enabled by default. Should your Broadband provider inform you that you need Static or PPPoE, these options can be accessed under “Basic Settings.”
PhonePower cannot provide you with service or support until your router is completely setup and your computer(s) are surfing.
Once your computer(s) are surfing, you should be able to make and receive phone calls. Once you have powered the unit on, log in to http://192.168.2.1 and you should see port FXS1 as registered. Once you do, try making a test call. If you are unable to make a call, power cycle your device. If you are still unable to make a call, please contact our support staff for further assistance at:
